Gdansk Multi Centre Holidays 2024 / 2025

Summary

Gdańsk is a great place to visit as part of your multi centre holiday. Located on Poland’s Baltic coast, it’s got an absorbing history, brilliant bars and restaurants, and many museums.

If you’re interested in learning more about the local history, the Artus Court Museum, Museum of WWII, European Solidarity Centre and National Maritime Museum should all be on your must-visit list.

Długi Targ, also known as Long Market, is the city’s main street and a big attraction for holidaymakers. The colourful buildings add a touch of charm, and it’s host to several excellent cafes and shops. You’ll also find many of Gdańsk’s top sights here, including the Golden Gate, Main Town Hall, Neptune Fountain and Green Gate.

Mariacka Street is another you need to include in your holiday to Gdańsk because of its cool cobbles, architecture and famous amber jewellery shops.

The city’s waterfront is a highly recommended place for a romantic stroll or enjoying some appetising Polish cuisine. You can also book a cruise on the Motława River for a relaxing sightseeing tour by boat.

Got a head for heights? The view from St Mary’s Church is well worth climbing over 400 steps to the top of its 78-metre tower. Another place with panoramic views over Gdańsk and the river is the Town Hall, which boasts a slightly higher vantage point.

Our final awesome way to explore more of the city is to go on a food and drink tour, where you can sample the best Gdańsk has to offer.
