Reykjavik Multi Centre Holidays 2024 / 2025

Summary

Reykjavik’s rugged charm and natural delights make for an enchanting escape. Iceland’s capital may be one of Europe’s smallest, but it has a vast amount to see and do that you can’t experience elsewhere.

Laugavegur is Reykjavik’s main shopping street and is also home to many top spots for eating out and enjoying a few drinks. We’d recommend not spending all your time in the city itself because there’s a huge amount to see and do slightly further afield.

For example, you might want to go on a puffin-watching boat trip, navigate the Golden Circle and its various wonders along the way, and visit Aurora Reykjavik, the Northern Lights Centre. We can’t guarantee you’ll see the stunning spectacle during your trip, but Grotta Lighthouse on the outskirts of the city is a great vantage point.

Reykjavik’s hot springs are legendary worldwide for benefits such as reducing stress, improving circulation and boosting the immune system. While it feels fantastic to immerse yourself in one of Iceland’s many springs, we recommend dragging yourself out at some point so you can see what else is on offer.

When you're visiting Reykjavik, you can visit several museums exploring Viking heritage, Icelandic nature, and sculptures. If you want to experience some local culture, you can take a guided tour of the city and its culinary scene or history. For example, there are many walking tours that will give you a taste of the best places to eat and provide a glimpse into the city’s past.
