Summary
Our multi centre holidays to Tokyo are excellent value for money and a wonderful way to see more of Japan. Whether you’ve visited before or are planning your first trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, your stay will be full of wonderful surprises.
Tokyo is a city of contrasts, from ornate religious temples to towering skyscrapers. Senso-ji is a fine example of the former, dating to the 7th century. The Tokyo Skytree is the place to get 360-degree views over its incredible skyline from over 2,000 feet up.
It may seem like a slightly odd recommendation for something to see and do in Tokyo, but the Shibuya Crossing is a remarkable thing to experience. It’s the busiest intersection in the world and something you can tell your friends and family about on your return.
Another amazing spectacle in Tokyo is watching sumo at Ryogoku Kokugikan. It holds over 10,000 people, all of whom are transfixed on the two wrestlers doing battle in the ring. Baseball is a hugely popular sport in Tokyo, and taking in a game at the Tokyo Dome, home of the Yomiuri Giants, is a real thrill.
The nightlife in Tokyo is notoriously good. The city's Roppongi, Shibuya and Shinjuku areas are home to many lively bars and clubs with an infectious atmosphere.
When it comes to the city’s culinary scene, we highly recommend dining in the Shinjuku district for super-tasty tempura, sushi, ramen and many more mouth-watering Japanese delights.
Isn’t it time you went to Tokyo?
