Description

As well as trekking and city tours, you may also ‘find yourself’ on a trip to Nepal as its spirituality is all around you. There are many incredible places in which to meditate and appreciate your surroundings in the present moment.

Kathmandu

As part of your multi-centre holiday to Nepal, you’ll be taken on a tour of the capital. Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Temple of the Living Goddess and the Royal Palace are just some of the places you’ll get to see. And there’s also the 2,000 year old Swyambhunath – a Buddhist Stupa with 365 steps to climb and mesmerising views over the Kathmandu Valley below.

One thing that will grab your attention in Nepal is the mouth-watering range of local cuisine. You can sample the local thali (a set meal with various options) which will bring your taste buds to life. Another delicacy worth trying are the steamed meat or vegetable dumplings known as momos. These are available from many formal and informal eateries.

As you breathe in the fresh mountain air, meet the friendly locals and marvel at the beauty all around you, Nepal will be making its way in to your heart forever. One visit is never enough but will give you a flavour of this unforgettable holiday destination.

Our India and Nepal multi-centre holiday is always incredibly popular. Take a look at the trip details now and call us on 0808 178 5868 to book.

Pokhara

Pokhara is Nepal’s second largest city and it located in the central part of the country. Lake Phewa is at the centre of this stunning area and on your holiday here, you’ll get to spend some time on the water, offering a different perspective of the surrounding scenery.

You’ll also get to spend time at the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist Stupa with a hillside location and views to blow your socks off. And after all that scenic sustenance, you’ll then experience a visit to a local, authentic Nepalese market where you can chat to the locals and peruse all the produce and goods for sale.

Whatever you end up doing in Pokhara, watching the sun rise or set in this spiritual place is highly recommended for its life-affirming qualities. No matter how well-travelled you are, we’re sure you’ll agree there’s nowhere on earth quite like Nepal. When you’re looking for a holiday that’s more than just sun, sea and sand, Nepal will embrace you and make you want to keep coming back every year.

Kathmandu and Pokhara are just two of the destinations on this spiritual holiday. You’ll then head to India, where Delhi, Rishikesh and Agra await you for even more soul nourishment.
