Summary
There’s a myriad of things to see and do on your multi centre holiday to Madrid. The Spanish capital is a hotbed of culture and high-class attractions. When you combine a visit with a trip to other stunning cities, your break will be a memorable one.
Art galleries and museums are in plentiful supply in Madrid, with the El Prado gallery and the mesmerising Museo de la Luz being places we’d recommend. The latter uses displays and exhibitions of light to surprise and delight visitors.
If you’re a football fan, you shouldn’t miss a stadium tour of the Santiago Bernabeu, home to the mighty Real Madrid. Even better, if you book your Madrid holiday during the football season, you may be able to buy tickets in advance for a game.
While Madrid looks pretty amazing at street level thanks to its gorgeous buildings, there are places where you can see the city from above. One of these is the viewpoint at Mirador de la Cornisa, where you can gaze out over the nearby greenery and distant rooftops.
After all that sightseeing and walking around Madrid, you’ll no doubt have a hearty appetite. There’s a vast selection of tapas available, perfect when you’re sticking to a budget on your multi centre Spanish escape. Some of our favourites include jamon Iberico, gambas al ajillo and patatas bravas. If you’re looking to splash out for a special occasion, there are multiple Michelin-Starred restaurants in the city, but it’s advisable to book ahead.
