If you’re a football fan, you shouldn’t miss a stadium tour of the Santiago Bernabeu, home to the mighty Real Madrid. Even better, if you book your Madrid holiday during the football season, you may be able to buy tickets in advance for a game.
While Madrid looks pretty amazing at street level thanks to its gorgeous buildings, there are places where you can see the city from above. One of these is the viewpoint at Mirador de la Cornisa, where you can gaze out over the nearby greenery and distant rooftops.
After all that sightseeing and walking around Madrid, you’ll no doubt have a hearty appetite. There’s a vast selection of tapas available, perfect when you’re sticking to a budget on your multi centre Spanish escape.
