Summary
Are the Canary Islands calling you? When you book a multi centre holiday to Tenerife, you can enjoy a sun-kissed getaway with lovely temperatures all year round.
Many people jet off to Tenerife for a much-needed winter break when the cold, dark nights arrive in the UK. For others, the summer heat and bountiful beaches are the main attraction, ideal for boat tours and water sports. One of the best trips out on the water is a whale-watching adventure. Seeing these beautiful mammals in their natural habitat is an awe-inspiring sight.
You can also enjoy exploring caves, scaling an active volcano (Mount Teide hasn’t erupted for over 100 years) and have an absolute blast at Siam Park, a huge water park with many legendary slides.
For something completely different and more intriguing, the Pyramids of Güímar have unknown origins. They appeared at some point in the 19th century and are made from lava. There are all kinds of theories as to what they symbolise or how they got there, but nobody seems to know for sure, which adds to the appeal of seeing them close up.
Tenerife has a terrific nightlife scene in resorts throughout the island to suit all tastes and budgets. What isn’t so well known is that Tenerife produces excellent wines, so we’d heartily recommend booking a wine-tasting tour.
If you’d rather do something a bit more energetic, there are lots of hiking opportunities on the island, with the Roques de García Trail being one of the easiest and most suitable for all ages.
