Day 4: Tromsø to Skjervøy (Cruise Day 1) Today marks the beginning of your Arctic cruise. After boarding the ship, set sail northward from Tromsø. As you cruise through the stunning waters, you’ll pass the majestic Lyngen Alps before reaching Skjervøy, a historic trading post founded in 1622. This is a perfect opportunity to take in the vast Arctic landscape and enjoy the onboard amenities. Once you dock in Skjervøy, you’ll have some time to explore this peaceful town before continuing your journey. You’ll spend the night on the ship.
Day 5: Skjervøy to Honningsvåg (Cruise Day 2) The next day, continue your cruise to Honningsvåg, arriving mid-morning. Honningsvåg is your gateway to the North Cape, the northernmost point of mainland Europe. Here, you can take an optional excursion to visit the North Cape monument, a popular spot for visitors looking to stand at the "edge of the world." Along the way, you’ll likely encounter herds of reindeer, and depending on the season, you may even have the chance to meet the indigenous Sámi people and learn about their traditional reindeer herding lifestyle. After exploring, you’ll spend another night on the ship.
Day 6: Honningsvåg to Kirkenes (Cruise Day 3) On the third day of your cruise, you’ll visit several more Arctic locations, including Båtsfjord, Vardø, and Vadsø. These areas are known for their spectacular birdwatching opportunities, as they sit directly under the migration path of birds flying from east to west. You’ll then arrive in Kirkenes, where you’ll have the chance to explore the town, perhaps visit the Varanger Museum, or take part in an excursion to the Kirkenes Snow Hotel, where you can choose to stay in a cozy Snow Suite or a wooden Gamme Cabin. After your time in Kirkenes, you’ll spend the night in this fascinating town before heading back.
