Summary
Imagine the views you’ll get from a vantage point over 800 metres above sea level. Penang Hill or Flagstaff Hill, as it’s also known, is a patch or rainforest offering vistas over George Town and the surrounding hills. There’s a funicular railway to take you to the top where you’ll also have the opportunity to explore a number of old religious buildings including a temple and a mosque.
Elsewhere in George Town, there’s the Made in Penang Interactive Museum which uses 3D images to bring a whole host of exhibits to life in a fun and engaging way. And no trip to Penang would be complete without spending some time relaxing on the beach. There is an abundance of choice whether you’re looking to do as little as possible, go for a swim or try your hand at snorkelling.
