Shanghai Multi Centre Holidays

Summary

Shanghai promises to be a memorable destination during your multi centre holiday in China. This coastal city is the country’s largest, with a population of around 25 million.

As you’d expect from a place of this size, there are a vast number of things to see and do in Shanghai, including temples, markets, theme parks and museums. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights below.

Our first stop is The Bund, a stunning promenade with gorgeous buildings and fantastic city skyline views. One of the structures that dominates is the Oriental Pearl Tower, where you can take the lift to the top to see the mesmerising panoramas of Shanghai and dine in the revolving restaurant.

Back down on the ground, Yu Garden is another popular visitor attraction. This Chinese garden was created during the Ming Dynasty in 1577 and has several captivating areas and features to appreciate as you take a gentle stroll through.

If you’re travelling across China with your children, Shanghai Disneyland Park is worth going to. All the magic of Mickey Mouse and friends is here, as well as live entertainment, thrilling rides and themed dining options.

There are also many temples in Shanghai that will leave you in awe of the detail and skilled craftsmanship that’s gone into them. Some of the most well-known are Jade Buddha Temple, Longhua Temple and Jing’an Temple.

Because of the sheer scale of Shanghai, we’ve only been able to cover a fraction of its fantastic attractions here.
