For stunning city skylines, Kuala Lumpur’s awe-inspiring architecture is hard to beat. Three impressive structures dominate the landscape: the iconic KL Tower, and twin Petronas Towers – officially the tallest skyscrapers in the world. Combine a visit KL with a break in Penang (home to mouthwatering Malaysian cuisine). Or if you need a change of pace after your frenetic city break, head for tropical paradise in Langkawi, or the beautiful Indonesian island of Bali.

Malaysia
Description
Meanwhile, Penang is a real melting pot of Asian culture which showcases the modern and ancient to perfection in George Town. There are also many fascinating temples and museums to explore and if you have a head for heights, the views from Penang Hill are simply stunning.
Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is referred to locally as KL. You can rest assured no two days here will be the same. For example, you may be 170 metres above the ground one day at the Petronas Twin Towers observation deck, then back down to street level the next to sample the most aromatic and delicious street food.
If you’re planning a family holiday, there are theme parks nearby to provide your children with fun-filled days. And the KLCC Park is a nice place to go for a stroll in the shadow in the Twin Towers while you take a break from shopping or sightseeing.
Another popular attraction for holidaymakers in Kuala Lumpur is a tour of the Batu Caves. There are 272 steps to climb here but they are well worth it. The Hindu shrines make this a beautiful and spiritual experience you won’t want to miss while you’re on your Malaysian break.
Your multi-centre Malaysian holiday is calling…
Penang
Imagine the views you’ll get from a vantage point over 800 metres above sea level. Penang Hill or Flagstaff Hill, as it’s also known, is a patch or rainforest offering vistas over George Town and the surrounding hills. There’s a funicular railway to take you to the top where you’ll also have the opportunity to explore a number of old religious buildings including a temple and a mosque.
Elsewhere in George Town, there’s the Made in Penang Interactive Museum which uses 3D images to bring a whole host of exhibits to life in a fun and engaging way. And no trip to Penang would be complete without spending some time relaxing on the beach. There is an abundance of choice whether you’re looking to do as little as possible, go for a swim or try your hand at snorkelling.

Langkawi
Located off the west coast of Malaysia, Langkawi is an archipelago of almost 100 individual islands. It’s also a haven for beach-lovers and provides a real taste of tropical paradise. If you’re looking for something different after sun worshipping, the Langkawi Sky Bridge is 700 metres above sea level that stretches for 125 metres. The spectacular view of the waterfalls below is well worth the trip on its own.
Another fantastic day out is Underwater World Langkawi, which is home to around to 500 species of sea creature ranging from sharks and stingrays to seahorses and turtles.
