Description
It’s difficult to know where to start when describing Copenhagen. It has all the ingredients that make for an enriching city break. There is great shopping for starters, waterfront views, historic and colourful buildings, some of Europe’s finest gourmet dining and the famous Tivoli Gardens amusement park.
But perhaps Copenhagen’s most famous attraction is the Little Mermaid sculpture by Edvard Eriksen. It depicts the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale of the same name and has stood in Copenhagen since 1913, although with a few mishaps along the way. It is thought to attract around 1 million visitors per year and is a true Danish icon.

Stockholm’s multiple islands and bridges make it a unique cityscape and there’s a wide range of ways to spend your two nights here. For example, you may want to visit the ABBA Museum which pays homage to Sweden’s best known musical act.
There’s also Stockholm Palace, Djurgarden amusement park and the old town, known locally as Gamla Stan to explore on foot so the hardest part will be trying to fit everything in. If you do have any time left over, Östermalm's Market Hall has a bountiful selection of antiques and food for sale.
